Step One: What's your skin tone?

Ok, so first thing’s first, it’s time to identify your skin tone. We’ve picked out 5 key skin tones, ranging from fair to deep. Which of the faces below would you say is closest to your own? If you’re still not sure, sit in natural light with no make-up on and really take a closer look at your skin.

Step Two: What's your skin undertone?

Not sure how to identify your skin’s undertone? Well, we’ve got some simple tips for you. Firstly, take a look at your veins – what colour are they? If they look bluey-purple to you, then it’s likely you have a cool undertone. Whereas if your veins look blue/green, then you probably have a neutral or warmer undertone. Immediately, you might be thinking cool = fairer skin tones and warm = deeper skin tones. Not quite! You can be fair and have warmer undertones and similarly, have cooler undertones with a deeper complexion.

Right, let’s use the wheel below to find your undertone and select your shade match.

Step Three: Find your perfect match!

Finally, you know your skin tone and undertone, and all that’s left to do is find your perfect foundation match and start enjoying complexion perfection!
